- We also provide extra security for vans, we fit the newest and most cost effective kits available on the market. We use mostly L4V kits as they are all around good performers and quality. We use them on our own and have never had an attempted break in to date. An overview of the products we supply and fit are underneath and a rough idea on cost for supplying and installing.
Deadlocks

- The most common type of additional security added to vans. supplied and fitted from £140 per door, supplied with 3 keys and locks can be built to an existing key for an extra cost.
Hook locks

- Very similar to deadlocks in their use and operation, they provide a higher level of protection than the deadlocks by preventing door peeling, they are fitted as high in the door as possible (not all doors on vans can have hook locks)
- The hook lock kits are also supplied with 3 keys and a key card and additional locks can be fitted to vans in the future just like the deadlocks, these are the kits most commonly used by tradesman. The kits are supplied and fitted from £150 per door, some kits are more expensive as other brackets are required for the fitting.
Upgraded replacement locks for Ford vans

- Available on most Ford models of van from 2014 onwards to combat the weakness in the original door locks, they offer a very good level of security and convenience, they can be made to match other security locks on the vehicle too.
- They are a great alternative to the original lock and “a must” to be honest and will explain why, the remote keys for the vans have a limited shelf life and can all of a sudden stop unlocking your van, when this happens the only way to gain access to the vehicle is to put the key in the lock, the only problem is with the original locks they are usually damaged already from where they have been targeted by criminals and the lock will not open. These rep locks prevent this from happening as they just don`t tend to get damaged in the same way. Around 90% of the original door locks of vans on the road are damaged so if you always want to be able to get into your van, get this lock. The locks are supplied and fitted for £220, they can be fitted with the hook lock and deadlock kits so the keys match, there maybe some additional cost if the locks need to be build separately.
External and Internal security plates

- There are a number of internal and external plates available for vans, a method of gaining entry by the criminals is making a hole in the metal panel to access the door latch mechanism, the plates make the job a lot harder for them and mostly deter them from even trying.
- Vivaro/Master/Primastar barn doors are a common van that are targeted in this way, ford transit/transit custom sliding side doors are also vulnerable to this type of attack, these plates offer an extra level of defense and are very useful in covering holes that have already been made by the criminals, just note that if the latch mechanism has been damaged by an attack than this will need replacing before a plate should be install.
- Internal plates serve the same purpose as external plates but are just mounted inside the bodywork, they will not deter criminals in the same way external do and even if you have the internal plates your body panels may get damaged with the criminals making holes anyway.
- The cost of an external plate supplied and fitted starts from £125.
Statement locks

- Statement locks sit on the van externally, they are easily seen and offer a decent level of security, and deter the criminals well, they are easier to install than the deadlocks and hook locks and therefore the installation cost is reduced.
- Both the side door and rear doors tend to need statement locks, the cost to supply and fit both doors starts from £300.
Anti peel kits

- Anti peel kits are fitted internally in the van itself and are designed to not allow the door from being peeled open at the top, they are not visible from the outside of the van so they wont stop criminals from trying to peel it open unfortunately.
- Both the side and rear doors tend to need to have the anti peel brackets, they do offer an extra line of defense against peeling attacks. The cost to supply and fit 2 anti peel brackets is £200.
